One of the sales leaders in the electronics and household appliances industry, which offers a comprehensive package of services related to sales in online and stationary shops. Currently, it has almost 300 shops across Poland and an online shop that serves more than 4,000,000 users per month. We have been partners since 2015 and since then we have managed to implement more than a dozen projects from different areas – from PWA to module integration. Our goal is that Neonet is always well optimised and performs perfectly even during the highest customer traffic.
Goals
The previous infrastructure did not allow to adapt automatically to increasing needs and did not provide the possibility to automatically scale the infrastructure according to the traffic generated by the users targeted:
Computing power
We wanted to be able to freely choose the computing power depending on the sales periods. We were particularly concerned about the pre-Christmas period when our client’s shop handles increased traffic.
Flexible fees
We were looking for a solution that allows us to scale the size of EC2 instances up or down and that offers “pay-as-you-go” payments – we only charge for what we use at any given time.
Maintaining high speed
The priority was to maintain high performance which translated into fast page loading and a stable connection.

3. Our actions
Our specialists, after studying the technical needs, designed a fully scalable and secured application architecture. Special attention was paid to adapting the system to increased availability (over 99.999% of the time per year).
Our developers used many modern AWS services, including EC2, Aurora, ElastiCache and CloudFront, all of which improve the system’s performance.
Newly written architecture allows the application to automatically scale to current processing power requirements.
Before customization, the application did not allow scaling at all, whereas after implementing the cloud solution, we have provided a full range of possibilities.
