Global4Net Implemented a store for Novamed

Novamed has been on the market for over 20 years and is the leader in the distribution of medical equipment. It offers the highest quality products ranging between doctor’s office equipment, operating room necessities as well as smaller accessories and tools necessary for doctors in their day-to-day work. Solutions for the medical branch require special attention and for that reason, we decided to integrate the store with a Multistore system. This advanced tool allows for leading a multilayer sale by creating an undefined number of stores within one administrative panel. Thanks to that the product’s base can be freely divided presenting different parameters. It can be done also in order to ensure better browser positioning. 


In January 2015 Google representatives confirmed that the websites not meeting the mobile display requirements face worse positioning and therefore, all projects implemented with Global4Net are coded in Responsive Design. That solution brings many advantages:
– increased possibility of getting to potential clients while at the same time decreasing the costs related to the page maintaining
– keeping a uniform image of the company by automatically adjusting the layout to all mobile devices
– the possibility of introducing later changes in a short time period
– effective offer presentation which is shopping friendly.


It was important to refresh the store’s graphics design. Using modern solutions it became possible to create an aesthetically pleasing and very intuitive layout within which we especially should appreciate:
– enriching certain elements with the lightbox effect,
– adding transition effects in movable modules
– automatically setting the window height
– changing the look od the checkboxes
It is worth mentioning that the whole thing was created with JavaScript and it does not require constant updates of the site. This solution not only eliminates the possible technical problems but also increases the liquidity of using the store’s site. 



Solid technical foundation and well-established layout is not everything though. The superior goal of e-commerce is simplifying the shopping process, that’s why we made sure that the ordering process is a one-step task. What’s more, the website was programmed in such a way that an abandoned cart is automatically saved on the user’s account. Thanks to that even after leaving the site, the client has a possibility to come back to the earlier created product list. 
All completed shopping was integrated with SAP. Thanks to that it was possible to eliminate the stage of rewriting important data in the interface. It will make it possible in the future to immediately determine the availability of products, an element extremely important in the branch of medical equipment. 


The site was additionally enhanced with new modules among which we should especially notice:

– “New”
– “Discounts”
– “Files for download”
– ” Guides an articles”
– “FAQ”
– “Service”
– “Stores and cooperation”
Thanks to that, a sort of content synergy was created. It enhances the store content that used to be only about shopping. Combined with a refreshed user panel, the site got a new value which not only attracts possible clients but also medical passionates.
It’s worth noticing the integrations with certain online payment intermediaries. After a thorough analysis of the most popular solutions used in the Novamed store, the implementation included PayU and PayPal, paying at delivery and traditional transfers. Shipping details and probable discrepancies can be resolved via the contact form which was added to make the communication with the store administration easier. It is also possible to sign up to a newsletter.

During the implementation, dynamic tags, descriptions, and links were added and the ready page was integrated with Google Analytics and AdWords to constantly monitor the effects of the e-commerce implementation. Novamed workers took part in training on the use of an online store. 
The described solutions are only part of the system which Global4Net develops in accordance with the improving e-commerce branch and the specific needs of the clients. The final shape of the created product is a result of mutual trust and incredible professionalism of Novameds board of directors.
