Elektromag is a Polish brand offering solutions in the interior design industry, which focuses on selling lighting systems and fixtures. The portfolio of goods offered includes those made by internationally known manufacturers: Philips or Nowodvorski Lighting.
Goals
The client decided on a new e-Commerce platform, which involved the need to import all the product information.
Migration of the shop
Change of the system operating the e-store from Shopper to Magento 2.3, which in addition to a wider range of modules, also works with PWA technology.
Product data import
Due to migration of the entire shop, the client also needed to transfer the product databases to the new system. The number of items to be imported was over 15,000.

e Magento platform is an e-Commerce solution used by several hundred thousand customers worldwide. Thanks to its open licence and developed system, Magento offers unlimited possibilities in designing e-stores and their expansion. MySQL, on the other hand, is the RDBMS system for data management. Available for all leading operating systems, it provides a high level of functionality when working with data, all under an open licence.

3. Our actions
Our specialists initiated the process of data migration from the old platform to Magento 2.3. Particular attention was paid to product information and features assigned to them in order to avoid confusion and save the implementation of amendments. To speed up the whole process, product data was synchronised and grouped by categories.
For data consistency with the previous platform, the developers are also working on migrating the category and customer feature databases. This will have a major impact on getting the remote e-shop up and running faster.
