NEO24 is among the best online shops in Poland, offering a wide range of audio, video and household equipment. Despite this, it constantly develops its offer, providing more and more new product categories to its customers. It has been our business partner since 2015. Over the years of our cooperation, we have implemented many changes to improve the functioning of the shop. A significant revolution for the website was, among others, the implementation of the Progressive Web App and thus offering a new shopping experience to its users. NEO24.PL website enjoys wide recognition. It was awarded e.g. The Trusted Shops Certificate and included in the Ranking Of The Most Valuable Polish Brands.
Goals
Outrunning the competition
There is a huge competition in the electronics and household e-Commerce industry. This requires us to offer the customers the most advanced and modern solutions available on the market.
Providing users with an offline app.
In order to increase the conversion rate on the mobile devices, apart from optimizing the website for this purpose, our goal was to enable the browsing of the store offer when offline. This way the customers would be able to purchase products from any place even without the access to the Internet.
Planned data migration compatibility
The next step in the work on NEO24.pl website was the data migration to the new platform – Magento 2. We planned this migration in a way that would not generate additional costs regarding the future operations.
Website optimization
The goal was to outrun the competition, which could be done by improving the positioning in the Google search engine. During the project we ensured that the client would be able to continuously optimize the website so that it could compete for the best search positions.
The Progressive Web Application (PWA) solution offers users a seamless browsing experience across all devices – from desktops to smartphones. It also provides a seamless shopping experience and all related activities. It guarantees fast page loading, responsiveness, offline operation and an impact on raising the position in Google searches. PWA is based on CSS, JavaScript and HTML.
Before we implemented the PWA we had carried out an in-depth analysis of the website. We prepared the detailed plan of the whole project and produced the appropriate functional and technical documentation.
The main goal of PWA implementation was to improve the user experience when interacting with the website. That’s why we began our work with the elements that the customers interact with in the first place. In order to simplify the implementation, we divided it into four phases, each with a certain category. Thanks to that, the website could work uninterrupted and the customers could still make purchases. On the other hand, the developer team has a continuous insight into any potential errors and could quickly fix them on the go.
PWA implementation
within 10 months of the project start.
Visibility improvement
In-browser visibility increased by 39%.
Do you have any questions?
After migration followed by the implementation of PWA and other innovative solutions, we can proudly say that the whole undertaking was a success. It was quite a challenge for us because Progressive Web Application was not that popular at that time. We had to pave the way and set new standards on our own.
